It wasn't supposed to be scary, just..eerie or unsettling. The focus of the game is the empty city, crumbling away after the philosophy that guided its citizens fell away to madness; making the place a desolate, haunted shell, now only inhabited by monsters, which are themselves only shells of their former selves.

I read somewhere that you can get a powerup that turns you into a human frag grenade (and isn't a suicide move)... that's new.

You don't actually explode, an augmentation on your chest does...does that mean your armored in such a way that the blast doesn't affect you? Idk...
